Bucharest Christian Academy (K-12) in Bucharest, Romania, seeks a school director with a desire to equip the children of missionaries, Christian expatriates, and business families with a quality, Christ-centered, English education. Qualified applicants will demonstrate a personal commitment to Christ and an ability to thrive in a cross-cultural setting, as well as good communication and leadership skills. To ensure proper accountability, prayer and financial support, applicants should be affiliated with a mission agency. Since BCA exists primarily to serve missionaries and Christian expatriates, all missionary staff (teachers and director) are expected to come with full financial support. This enables BCA to keep tuition low and helps staff connect with the families they serve. Applicants should be willing to commit to at least a three-year term in addition to a training period (preferably beginning March 2010). BCA’s Board and director presently lead BCA in accordance with “governance policy”. Applicants should familiarize themselves with this form of leadership.
More information, including an initial director application form, BCA’s mission statement, statement of faith, and a summary of governance policy can be found on this website. Any questions can be directed to Donna Brown (dmcbrown_2000@hotmail.com), chairman of the Director Search Committee.
