Secondary Activities

Following is a sample of activities available to BCA students.

Student Council (StuCo)

BCA’s Student Council (StuCo) represents students in grades 7-12. It is made up of four elected officers as well as at least one representative from each grade. StuCo plans activities such as See You at the Pole, lock-ins, game nights, Spirit Week, Winter Banquet, Valentine’s Dinner, and an annual food drive. They are the voice of the students to the administration and actively work to represent the student body.

Sports Program

BCA offers secondary young men and women the opportunity to participate in its extracurricular sports program. Basketball has traditionally been the main sport at BCA, with games played against local schools, church groups, etc. An annual basketball tournament held in Budapest, Hungary, is also generally part of BCA’s basketball season. More sporting activities will be added as facilities and coaches become available.

Yearbook

Students who have elected to be a part of the yearbook staff work diligently throughout the year to design and produce a high-quality yearbook. Students take pictures, design layouts, and write text for each page. They also select an individual or couple to whom to dedicate the annual publication. During the last week of school, revealing of the yearbook dedication is followed by a special time of yearbook signing by students and staff.

Bible Study

For interested students, the bi-weekly bible study offers a chance to explore the Bible through inductive study.  Students discover for themselves what the Bible says, what it means and how to apply its teachings to their lives.  This year the students are studying Ephesians.

Youth Group

For the past 3 years students at BCA as well as students from AISB have participated in a bi-weekly youth group held at different houses around the city.  the students have opportunities to meet with other Christian students, experience good teaching and meet in small groups to discuss and apply the messages.  This year the theme has been The Search for Significance.
